For over a decade, Blundell Pipes and Tubes in Hamilton has been a trusted local source for industrial-grade materials. We take particular pride in our expertise with Copper Nickel 9010 tubing, a superior alloy known for its exceptional performance in challenging environments. From our workshop to your project, we ensure you receive not just a product, but a reliable solution backed by deep knowledge and a commitment to New Zealand’s engineering and maritime sectors.
Copper Nickel 9010, often called cupronickel, is primarily composed of about 90% copper and 10% nickel, with small additions of iron and manganese. This specific blend gives the tubing its remarkable resistance to corrosion, especially in saltwater. It’s also known for excellent mechanical strength and good ductility, making it tough yet workable for various fabrication needs. Its thermal conductivity is notably lower than pure copper, which can be a valuable trait in certain system designs.
